The Pathway Stage
Unit 4 - Personal Preparation
Unit 5 - Information and Interpretation
Unit 6 - Combined Experimental Studies
Unit 7 - Media Development
Your overall task is to create a fully researched and experimented project, through a medium of your choice.
This is your chance to not be limited, fully using everything we have on offer within the unit.
You will write up an intention, in 200 words, stating what area you would like to investigate, how you are going to do so and any artists you would like to research. Think back to your workshops that you completed within the first stage as you will incorporate some of these into your final work.
Think carefully about how you are going to display your work as this will be presented at the end of the project.
There will be an interim assessment halfway through the term, so be prepared to show some work in progress.
You will present your work to the rest of the class, using some of the Year 1 students, to show your progress and gather some constructive feedback, at the end of the pathway stage.
You need to complete:
-
10 pages of artist research
-
Response and Experimentation to research
-
Evidence of development with a media of choice.
-
A final piece that consists of a series of images, installation, film, animation, or a series of printed designs.
-
A portfolio of work that matches your pathway of choice.
-
Evaluation of your work, presented at the end of the portfolio
200 Word Plan
